April 2026 Pastoral Message
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
How is your soul? This question was asked by John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, whenever he encountered people for the first time. When we ask this question instead of asking "how have you been" or "how are you," it might feel awkward. But imagine how normal it is to ask this question between people. Also, it shows how much they care for each other’s soul. How is your soul?
In this season of Lent, may Jesus’ grace and love be felt much more than before, and may such gifts fill our soul. As we embark on Holy Week, we reflect on the journey of Jesus entering Jerusalem and dying on the cross. In the bulletin, a Holy Week meditation will be shared as a booklet. Please meditate on Jesus with it.
Also, on April 3, we will have a Good Friday Communion Service @ 6:30 PM. Most of all, we will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 5 @ 9:30 AM. All family and friends, please come and join us to mourn the death of Jesus for us and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
What a blessing that Good Friday is not the end. Good Friday is always followed by Easter. Death is not the end. Death is always followed by life. If anyone is going through the valley of darkness in life, please remember there is always light after that, just like Good Friday is followed by Easter and death is followed by life. Why? Because of Jesus. Yes, Jesus is our Savior, our life, our hope, and our light.
With love and gratitude,
Pastor Peter Jisung Lee

April Encouraging Bible Verses
Joel 2:12-13 (NIV) "Even now," declares the Lord, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning." Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.
Isaiah 53:5 (NIV) But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Luke 24:6-7 (NIV) "He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 'The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.'"
