March 2026 Pastoral Message
Dear Church Family,
May the peace and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you as we journey through this sacred season of Lent.
Reflecting on the past few weeks, my heart is full. Our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper was a wonderful success, and it was a particular joy to welcome and serve the Girl Scouts from our community. Following that, our Ash Wednesday Service provided a solemn and meaningful start to this season of preparation. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who gave their time, support, and prayers to make these services possible.
Lent is, at its heart, a season of deep reflection on the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. When we truly grasp what Jesus has done for us, we are moved beyond simple words of thanks; we are compelled to ask: How can we live our lives in return for such a sacrifice?
Our core belief is beautifully simple: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). This truth is our anchor. It allows us to overcome earthly trials and hold onto hope even in the face of death.
However, we know that living a life of "solid faith" is rarely simple. It is a lifelong journey of grace—a constant movement between doubt and faith, between wanting to give up and finding the determination to press on. This is why we need Lent. We need this time to reflect on our lives, repent of our sins, and ask for His grace daily. My prayer for us all is that by the end of this season, our faith would be more solid, firm, and matured. Our hope is not found in worldly things, but in Jesus alone.
In that spirit of fellowship, I encourage you to join us in the various opportunities for growth listed below. Let us use these gatherings to remind ourselves of how much Jesus loves us and how we are called to love one another. May God’s grace and guidance continue to be with you all.
Peace and Blessings,
Pastor Peter Jisung Lee
